Delta Airlines Dog Policy 2023: What’s New and What’s Not

Delta Airlines is making some important changes to its dog policy that will affect you and your furry companion starting from 2023. Here are the main points to remember: Only trained service dogs allowed.  Delta will follow the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) rule and only accept dogs that are trained to perform tasks for people with disabilities. You will have to fill out a DOT Service Animal Air Transportation Form and submit it at least 48 hours before your flight to confirm your dog’s health, behavior and training. No pit bulls or aggressive dogs.  Delta will ban pit bull type dogs or dogs that show signs of aggression from flying as service dogs or pets.
